Club Pilates signs 70-studio development agreement

Club Pilates, the world’s largest Pilates chain by studio count, has struck a deal with an operator to develop 70 locations across Maryland, Michigan and New York.The expansion underscores Pilates’ shift from a fragmented boutique concept into a scaled national franchise. As demand grows for low-impact, instructor-led workouts, operators are pushing beyond core urban markets into new regional territory.
Irvine, California-based Club Pilates, part of Xponential Fitness, signed the agreement with entrepreneur Saber Ammori. Under the deal, Ammori will open 70 new studios, adding to the 14 Club Pilates locations he already owns and operates in the New York City area, as well as sites currently in development.
As part of the arrangement, Ammori and Cohere Capital have formed Renew Fitness to own and develop both existing and future locations, according to Club Pilates. The new entity’s pipeline will grow to 84 studios, making Renew Fitness one of the brand’s largest multiunit franchisees.
“This deal with Renew Fitness is a testament to the brand’s strength, economics, and staying power,” Mike Nuzzo, CEO of Xponential Fitness, said in a statement.
Though Club Pilates is roughly 20 years old, large multiunit operators and area developers are now “reinvesting in the brand” and expanding its reach, according to Nuzzo.
Renew Fitness will acquire and develop studios across Michigan, Maryland and New York.
“There is still so much whitespace for Pilates in the U.S., and the formation of Renew Fitness will help us unlock that next phase of growth,” Ammori said in a statement.

In addition to his Club Pilates holdings, Ammori is managing member, co-CEO and co-founder of Wireless Vision, which owns and operates more than 450 T-Mobile locations nationwide. He is also an active operator and investor across sectors including car washes, consumer services and real estate.
The pact with Ammori follows several other major expansions for Club Pilates, with recent franchise agreements and openings coming from ownership groups including Riser Fitness, Spartan Fitness and Aligned Fitness, which collectively own more than 350 Club Pilates studios.
